We spent the last week of vacation in Äkäslompolo biking and hiking. One day we made a trip to Kalmakaltio to finish the last piece of Lapland. The forecasted rain did not show up and we had an enjoyable ride all the way. The kids showed good spirit and fought hard. Possibly motivated by the 50 cent per kilometer they had been promised? (Bribery? Absolutely.) To give them some advantage I cycled backwards all the way and they had to be my eyes and ears. We all broke new records that day. Fammo drove the car and supported us with food and drinks. Lapland completed!
